Rapidly running out of things to do in Havana, we explored the Plaza Vieja before hitting the massive Capitolio building. In the evening we met up with the British girls we had run into before and hit a bar before managing to catch an impromptu concert in a castle.
Day 13 — Pipe, Pizza and Peel
The first full day in Cuba started with a tour of a rum museum, followed by a wander around the city eventually ending in the Palacio — a massive and thoroughly random museum. Running into a couple a British girls in the evening I adjourned early while the others hit the town.
Day 12 — Late, Lady and Lost
Choosing not to dive on the final day, our transportation whisked us off to Havana early afternoon. After some trouble finding our casa, then more trouble finding a restaurant, we wiled away the evening drinking rum and looking out across Havana.
Day 10 — Flop, Forms and Fiasco
With my diving examination this morning I managed to put the wet suit on the wrong way and destroy a pair of flippers before running out of air once again. After an exploration of Trinidad town the evening ended once again in the Casa de la Musica.
Day 9 — Carnal, Cleaning and Casa
Our time in Trinidad continued with two further dives out on the boat and a hastily constructed late seafood lunch. Feeling slightly queasy I excused myself from the evening’s festivities and relaxed in the casa.
