Day 14 — King, Kidnap and Keen

Rap­idly run­ning out of things to do in Havana, we explored the Plaza Vieja before hit­ting the massive Cap­it­olio build­ing. In the even­ing we met up with the Brit­ish girls we had run into before and hit a bar before man­aging to catch an impromptu con­cert in a castle.

Day 13 — Pipe, Pizza and Peel

The first full day in Cuba star­ted with a tour of a rum museum, fol­lowed by a wander around the city even­tu­ally end­ing in the Pala­cio — a massive and thor­oughly ran­dom museum. Run­ning into a couple a Brit­ish girls in the even­ing I adjourned early while the oth­ers hit the town.

Day 12 — Late, Lady and Lost

Choos­ing not to dive on the final day, our trans­port­a­tion whisked us off to Havana early after­noon. After some trouble find­ing our casa, then more trouble find­ing a res­taur­ant, we wiled away the even­ing drink­ing rum and look­ing out across Havana.

Day 10 — Flop, Forms and Fiasco

With my diving exam­in­a­tion this morn­ing I man­aged to put the wet suit on the wrong way and des­troy a pair of flip­pers before run­ning out of air once again. After an explor­a­tion of Trin­idad town the even­ing ended once again in the Casa de la Musica.

Day 9 — Carnal, Cleaning and Casa

Our time in Trin­idad con­tin­ued with two fur­ther dives out on the boat and a hast­ily con­struc­ted late sea­food lunch. Feel­ing slightly queasy I excused myself from the evening’s fest­iv­it­ies and relaxed in the casa.
