Calculating the geodesic distance between two points

Tasked with set­ting up a sup­plier search, I opted to use the most com­plex and pre­cise for­mula avail­able for cal­cu­lat­ing the dis­tance between two points. I then imple­men­ted into a data­base func­tion for easy com­pu­ta­tional overhead.
