On a quiet Sunday after­noon of a Bank hol­i­day week­end, a pro­ject is born mar­ry­ing the cel­lu­lar auto­mata of John Hor­ton Conway’s Game of Life and the auto­matic gen­er­a­tion of avatars. While not entirely suc­cess­ful, the found­a­tion has been laid for fur­ther improvement.
