Tak­ing a taxi to Trin­idad, we walked across the beach to meet up with a group of diving instruct­ors Matt had met on his trip to Cuba pre­vi­ously. A short van ride back to our one-night casa and I was squiffy and asleep in no time, while Matt hit the night life once again.

The bus ride to Sancti Spir­itus was unevent­ful which unfor­tu­nately is pre­cisely what the tiny town is like. The effem­in­ate casa owner kept a clean house but after a day of wan­der­ing with little activ­ity, we were happy to be going on to Trin­idad the next day.
