Waking up late and missing the first dive of the day, we booked our transportation out of Trinidad for the next day and headed to the beach. While Matt dived I was hassled by over-zealous security guards followed by a lazy evening in reading.
Day 10 — Flop, Forms and Fiasco
With my diving examination this morning I managed to put the wet suit on the wrong way and destroy a pair of flippers before running out of air once again. After an exploration of Trinidad town the evening ended once again in the Casa de la Musica.
Day 9 — Carnal, Cleaning and Casa
Our time in Trinidad continued with two further dives out on the boat and a hastily constructed late seafood lunch. Feeling slightly queasy I excused myself from the evening’s festivities and relaxed in the casa.
Day 8 — Weight, Wait and Want
My first day diving out at see had its ups and downs — literally. That evening we drunk and partied around the dive hut before trying to get a taxi back into Trinidad with mixed results. My sunburn cultivation had begun.
Day 7 — Hangover, Hotness and Heaven
With a brutal hangover, Matt managed to dress himself enough to hit the beach and lounge in the sun until the afternoon when I had my first diving lesson in the local hotel pool. Meeting up with some impossibly beautiful Europeans later, we ended the night with drinks in Casa de la Musica.
